I organize and advocate for social justice because I want my children to have a better life and to expose the injustice that our government and policy around the country creates in our communities. I want kids and grandkids to know that you can stand up for yourself and those around you. That we will refuse to be scared, oppressed, and put in a box. To create a better bright future for my boys.
When I am not organizing and advocating for social justice I am spending time with the people that I love.

I organize and advocate for social justice because I believe that we, and our generations to come are the future leaders of tomorrow. We need to remember that we are examples for them. We don't want them to live in a world of chaos. Lead by example.

College: CCSF
Degree Pursuing: English but I'm also getting my Latino Studies AA
Transfer Goal: UC Berkeley
Career Goal: Researcher, writer, artist, critique, philanthropist-Jedi...English professor, poet...emphasis on writer.
I organize and advocate for social justice because people talk about giving back like it's something extra I don't have to do, but I don't see how it's not an obligation if my community...raised me. When I am not organizing and advocating for social justice I am raising my community through literature, I'm a writer...and it's complicated and complex, but it can be as simple as listening to someone who needs it.
Fun Facts: I skate; I go hard on the paint; if I hadn't become a writer, it would have been a mad scientist (I'm a geek for science and math though I chose to appreciate them from a distance).
